ProScan offers a variety of post-implementation support services, through its service locations distributed throughout the major centres in South Africa. The primary service location is in Jet Park, Johannesburg with additional service workshops in Cape Town, Port Elizabeth and Durban. The main service centre in Jet Park is fully equipped and tooled to handle all repairs, thus obviating the need to ship equipment to an overseas' destination for repair. Some of the specialised equipment in Jet Park includes factory test jigs for handheld devices that are custom built by the equipment manufacturers and only distributed to a handful of service centres worldwide. An extensive range of spares parts is kept for the complete range of equipment sold by ProScan. There are a team of certified technical engineers in the Johannesburg, as well as Durban, Cape Town and Port Elizabeth workshops. All these engineers regularly receive both refresher training on existing products and in-depth service and support training on all new products before they are launched in South Africa. In addition, technical administrators at each of the service centres handle all administrative tasks for the service centres and ensure that customers receive constant feedback as to the device repair status. ProScan has established an extensive technical library on all devices that undergo repair in its service centres. This library is maintained centrally and updated when new service and technical information becomes available from vendor partners. All regional service centres have access to all technical information such as the technical library and Knowledge Base and are part of the ProScan Intranet.
